Medical Malpractice

When you go to the doctor, you have a legitimate expectation that you are going to an expert. You have a legitimate right to trust that what your doctor tells you or does for you is correct. You have a legitimate expectation that your doctor has advised you of the potential benefits and the potential risks of medications, procedures or any other medical decision. If your doctor (or other medical professional) fails to be the professional you expect, you may have a claim for medical malpractice.

If you or a loved one were the victim of medical malpractice, the Dyller Law Firm can help you. The first thing you need to know is: what is medical malpractice? Medical malpractice is when a health care professional does not care for you at or above the “standard of care.” It is difficult for people who are not medical professionals to know what is the standard of care, or whether the medical professional did or did not treat you or your loved one within the standard of care. Even lawyers have a difficult time figuring this out.

The only way to find out if your doctor or other health care professional committed malpractice is to gather the facts and then have an expert in the same field evaluate the care. For example, if you think a family doctor committed malpractice, another family doctor must evaluate the case. If you think a surgeon botched a surgery, you need another surgeon to evaluate it. The same goes for all kinds of doctors, nurses and other health care professionals. Each health care professional is held to the standard of his or her profession, including each specialty within the profession.

At the Dyller Law Firm, we first evaluate the case based on whatever we learn from you and from the appropriate medical records. We then identify expert doctors and seek their expert opinions to determine if the medical professional violated the standard of care, in other words, if the medical professional committed medical malpractice.

When we bring a case for you, we already know that the doctor or other health care professional violated the standard of care. We fight aggressively to seek compensation for you or for your loss.

The Dyller Law Firm has successfully brought some of the most difficult types of medical malpractice lawsuits.
